Student Discipline & Anti-Ragging Policy

Anti-Ragging Policy

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited inside and outside the college campus. The institution follows the guidelines of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, UGC.

Any student found involved in ragging, directly or indirectly, shall face strict disciplinary action, including suspension, rustication, expulsion, and legal proceedings as per applicable laws.

Discipline and Conduct

Students are expected to maintain discipline, dignity, and respect towards fellow students, faculty members, staff, and visitors.

The following acts are strictly prohibited:

  • Ragging, bullying, harassment, or intimidation.
  • Physical assault, threats, or abusive behavior.
  • Possession or use of weapons, drugs, alcohol, or other intoxicants.
  • Damage to college property or infrastructure.
  • Use of unfair means during examinations.
  • Any unlawful, anti-social, or criminal activity within or outside the campus.

Any misconduct that disrupts the academic environment or harms the reputation of the institution will invite disciplinary action.

Dress Code

Students must attend the college in decent and appropriate attire. Formal dress is mandatory on Wednesdays and during official events, seminars, workshops, industrial visits, and placement activities.

DO's

  • Maintain the prescribed attendance as per MDU/University norms.
  • Attend all classes, practicals, and academic activities regularly.
  • Carry the College Identity Card at all times while on campus.
  • Follow notices, rules, and instructions issued by the college.
  • Use library and campus facilities responsibly.
  • Respect faculty members, staff, and fellow students.

DON'Ts

  • Do not roam unnecessarily during class hours.
  • Do not smoke, consume alcohol, or use prohibited substances on campus.
  • Do not indulge in ragging or any form of misconduct.
  • Do not use unfair means during examinations.
  • Do not carry mobile phones or electronic devices in examination halls unless permitted.
  • Do not damage college property.
  • Do not enter the campus without a valid Identity Card.

Disciplinary Action

Violation of any college rule may result in warning, fine, suspension, rustication, expulsion, or any other action deemed appropriate by the college authorities.
